When the local congregation moved from Waterside to Terrace Row in 1834, there was no Presbyterian church left in Coleraine on the West side the River Bann. One hundred and thirty-nine years would pass before another Presbyterian church would appear again in that part of the town.
Hazelbank Presbyterian Church was opened in March 1973 as a Church Extension Charge on the west bank of the River Bann. It has since grown to over 300 families. Sunday Services are at 11.30am and 6.30pm with a full Christian education programme for
children and teenagers.
